Commodity and Food Prices

Some up, some down

One of the big stories of the year has been the surge in commodity prices:

However, some of the underlying commodities that made headlines recently have moderated in price, like lumber:

And iron:

Even uranium had a brief surge that has since subsided:

So, some of these price increases have pulled back despite the overall rate of price increases advancing.

On the other hand, while most people aren’t regularly buying uranium and won’t notice price fluctuations, they certainly will when it comes to other things, like food:
