ETFs by Volume, YTD Performance, The Nasdaq Composite, Nasdaq / SP 500, and Bitcoin / Nasdaq

On any given weekday, some ETFs are likely to have more trading volume than others. The QQQ, which tracks the Nasdaq, is one such ETF that regularly posts the highest trading volume. And, Friday’s market session was no exception:
The QQQ has done well this year, in line with other high-volume ETFs:
The overall Nasdaq Composite Index actually looks a bit flat and choppy recently, despite the nice gain so far this year. That’s not surprising after an absurdly good 2020:
And, that huge 2020 gain showed up in relation to the broader S&P 500 index as well:
But, in the tech world, there are always newer and shinier technologies to woo over investors. Over the last year, that’s been Bitcoin:
Now just let me know if there is a new investment product starting up that can outperform Bitcoin on a scale of many multiples…oh wait, I guess that would be Dogecoin. Sigh, maybe I’m getting too old to invest in all the new new things.
