Good sources for information
In this edition of helpful resources, I have a familiar name, an international supervisory committee, and a health metric modeling site:
Pretty much everyone is familiar with the census. It’s that important country-wide survey they run every ten years. What you may not know is that the census bureau does a lot more than just a once-per-decade survey. They have a lot of good data available at more frequent intervals as well.
Bank for International Settlements
This group doesn’t do data as well as the census bureau but they have a huge amount of literature relevant to best practices within the banking industry. Banks use a lot of data, so I find many of their papers useful across multiple metric-driven disciplines.
Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation
This site has exploded in popularity since the outbreak of the coronavirus. It’s for good reason. They have some amazing forecasting models on here and they present very complicated information in an intuitive way.
