In February 2020, there were 152,504,000 employed people in the U.S., which was, at the time, an all-time high.
Then COVID hit and we all know what happened:
After about two and a half years since, we ended up with a new record of employed people in June of 2022: 152,536,000.
Maybe I haven’t been reading enough news but I hadn’t seen this mentioned anywhere. It’s a big milestone in the overall recovery. Hopefully, we will continue to grow from here on out and avoid recessionary pressures on the labor market!
