The Stock Sample Size Grows!
A hundred long-term stocks
We’ve now got a hundred companies represented in our thirty year history sample. And, I think it’s officially time for me to stop - a hundred is a solid sample group for our analysis.
Market capitalization performance looks similar but nominally bigger:
And earnings is a similar picture but the dips are a little sharper:
But, it all adds up to the same picture that we saw before:
So, the ratio metrics are very stable and I think we have a good group of companies. That being said, there are still two major things I want to check out:
These metrics using only bank stocks
These metrics using more big companies that don’t have a full history but are important (i.e., Amazon, Google, and Facebook)
I’ll take a look at the impact of those things in the next few posts!
