If you haven’t noticed lately, the Price of Bitcoin has gone up a bit:
Things have happened fast but it was about a three-year wait from the last peak as measured by the Bitcoin Rolling All-Time High:
Over that time period, investors had to deal with massive drawdowns:
If it wasn’t obvious already, there was a lot of volatility along the way. Using the rogue wave indicator and applying it as the Bitcoin Rogue Wave Indicator, we can see that the cryptocurrency has been in a state of almost permanently choppy seas:
Just compare that to the S&P 500 Rogue Wave Indicator, where the sailing looks downright pleasant in comparison (most of the time):
As for what comes next? I can’t say whether the price goes up or down but, whichever way it goes, I don’t expect it to be boring along the way!
