In this edition of Helpful Resources, instead of focusing on market-related stuff, I thought it might be useful to quickly share three great sources for information on the Wuhan Coronavirus (nCoV-19). So, here are the places I’ve been frequenting the most:
World Health Organization (“WHO”)
This is where I get all my information for the Coronavirus, particularly the situation reports which have been coming out almost daily.
With many high-profile situations and events, there can be some degree of misinformation. So, it’s best to rely on trusted sources as a check when coming across information that is suspect or not vetted.
I had never heard of this outlet before I started following the Coronavirus, as I’m sure is the same for many others. Now, I know I just said to be careful with sources of information but this tracker has been spot on with its updates. If you want the latest numbers and updates in between updates of WHO situation reports, this is the best place for it. Whatever is reported here has been really close to what WHO eventually reports. Good tracker for impatient people like myself!
There are several subreddits covering the outbreak but this is the highest quality one I’ve found. Be careful here thought as some posts and comments could have rumors or false information. But, I’ve found a lot of helpful links and topics here and the community has a good level of professional skepticism.
Free Bonus! I also recommend Wikipedia as well but…I mean couldn’t that be said for basically anything?
Going to do some more research and thinking on this virus tomorrow since a lot of people have continued to ask me about it and have been sharing my stuff - much appreciated! Stay tuned for more content and updates.
