I’ve provided details on two of my tracking portfolios for the new year so far with Wild Stuff (cryptocurrency) and Shiny Stuff (metals). Now, let’s look at the ten bond funds I’ll be investing $100 into ($1,000 total) on January 4, 2021 for tracking throughout the year:
#. ETF (Ticker) - Expense Ratio
Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF (BND) - 0.04%
Vanguard Total International Bond ETF (BNDX) - 0.09%
iShares J.P. Morgan USD Emerging Markets Bond ETF (EMB) - 0.39%
Vanguard Short-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCSH) - 0.05%
Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCIT) - 0.05%
SPDR Barclays High Yield Bond ETF (JNK) - 0.40%
iShares Convertible Bond ETF (ICVT) - 0.20%
VanEck Vectors Investment Grade Floating Rate ETF (FLTR) - 0.14%
iShares 7-10 Year Treasury Bond ETF (IEF) - 0.15%
iShares TIPS Bond ETF (TIP) - 0.19%
I chose these ten portfolios because they cover a variety of bond market segments and are fairly well known. There are other funds that are popular that I could have included but I opted to leave those out because many had high overlap and/or correlation with these ten.
Overall, I think these ten will offer a good look at a wide range of the bond asset class and, like the other portfolios, will be exciting to watch in the new year!
