Shiny Stuff and Safe Stuff
Checking out portfolio components
It’s pretty obvious that one tracking portfolio has been doing the best this year (so far):
However, it’s still interesting to look under the surface to see what is happening in the other portfolios. For example, in the “Shiny Stuff” metals portfolio, gold is doing awful and platinum is doing great:
Over on the bond side of things in the “Safe Stuff” portfolio, we see that many of the bond ETFs are down so far this year! However, the convertible bond ETF (ICVT) is doing incredible and carrying the the others:
